English designer Teddy Tinling more commonly known for his eyeraising Wimbledon designs, produced this two-piece playdeck dress. It features long torso line and box pleated skirt. July 18, 1955.

Dramatic checked dress and cape. Dress has double rows of large buttons to which is attached a long rectangular cape of the same fabric. The cape buttons to the top two buttons on the bodice and is thrown back over the shoulders and upper arms. Fall 1964.

Coronation Gown -- Dress-designer Mrs. Harold Holt, wife of the Australian Labour Minister, slipped up on the design for her own Abbey dress. She had intended to wear "a super-full skirt," padded at the hips. But when she came to London she was told that she would have only 18 inches of space in the Abbey. She was determined to keep the padded hips, so she has cut down the fullness of the skirt. It is a beautiful dress; White satin, with a low Tudor neckline, and heavily embroidered with Tudor roses and scrolls in pearls, rhinestones, and gold sequins. May 30, 1953.
