Disraeli is a 1929 American historical film directed by Alfred E. Green and adapted from the 1911 play Disraeli by Louis N. Parker. The film stars George Arliss as British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. His performance won him the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. The story revolves around the British plan to buy the Suez Canal and the efforts of two spies to stop it.

Ben Hur: A Tale of The Christ is a 1925 American epic silent film directed by Fred Niblo. Starring Ramón Novarro and Francis X. Bushman it was based on the 1880 novel of the same name by Lew Wallace. The film appears on the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress.
