German "Faith Healer" waits for permission -- Bruno Groening, born in 1906, in Danzig Oliva, speaking at his "press conference".Bruno Groening - his parents are named Groenkowaki - is seeking permission from the authorities to continue with his "faith" healing.Bruno, a simple man, who cannot even speak correct German, and who "heals" merely by saying a few words, was forbidden to continue with his healing by the public authorities.He was invited to Rosenheim, near Munich, to the house of Leo Harwart, a restaurant and gaming-house keeper, where Bruno, at a "Press Conference" asked that the truth be told about him, and as proof of his "Powers" he offered the names and addresses of those he had "cured". Clayton Rehearses Act - Marshall Clayton, the American Negro welterweight boxer, established a reputation as a crooner during his visit to Perth last December. Clayton took time off from training yesterday to visit the studios of a Perth radio station for a rehearsal. Clayton (above) demonstrates his technique in front of a microphone as Miss Tess Earnshaw accompanies him on the piano. Clayton hopes to entertain with his crooning when he visits France on a tour later this year. He is back in Perth to fight Alfie Sands next Monday night. This will be the last of the outdoor fights in Perth this season. April 1, 1955.

Although only fourteen years of age, he has the third longest part in "Cottage to Let" which opens at Wyndham's Theatre, London, on Wednesday night starring Leslie Banks and Alistair Sim. $Annette Mills returns to broadcast a programme of her own songs in the BBC Forces Programme, on November 3rd, 1943. C.F. Meehan, BBC Producer, welcomes her to the microphone. Annette Mills, the dancer who introduced the Charleston to Great Britain, and the composer of 'Boomps-a-daisy', has been in hospital for a year following a serious motor accident which occurred while she was driving between two R.A.F. stations to entertain the airmen. She suffered eight fractures, and is still dependent upon crutches and a sling. On November 4th, the day after this broadcast, she returns to hospital for what she hopes will be her final operation.
