The timepiece covered with a dust cover, and at the front through a white enamel dial with number ring. The hinged Golden Inner Cabinet at the top is decorated along the sides with openwork flower and leaf work, interrupted on the four sides by panels surrounded. The panels are filled with allegories on the four elements. The sideways hinged Golden Over cabinet is surrounded both on the front and at the rear by openly work with flowers, and is interrupted by four panels enclosed by Voluten. Allegories have been applied to the seasons, on the front only depicted by symbols, on the back by personifications. The large rear panel, surrounded by symmetrical moving volutes, is filled with a performance by Esther for Ahasveros. Jacob Diehl of Reading, Pennsylvania, the maker of the works, signed the oversized fourteen-inch dial in black paint in the style of a copperplate engraver..
