U.S. Artist Starts work on Queen's Portrait Mr Douglas Chandor - English born but resident in the United States, who has commissioned by Mrs Roosevelt to paint the first portrait of the Queen since her Accession, was given his first sitting at Buckingham palace Yesterday, and his fitted out one of his rooms at the Savoy as a studio.
