French Engines Break World Record -- The Electric Engine used by French Railways to better their own ***** speed record to-day.French Railways already holders of the world rail speed record of 243 kilometers an hour to-day broke their own record with a speed of 300 Kilometers an hour. An electric Engine, BB -9004 was used to break this record on a long Stretch of track between Bordaux and Dax. Yesterday another Electric Engine, CC-7107 also broke the record. March 29, 1955.
