Eden seeks a divorce from wife in New York -- A divorce action brought by Mr. Anthony Eden, 53, deputy leader of the Opposition in the House of Commons, against his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Helen Eden, 45, is listed for hearing in London today. It is listed as undefended. Mr. Justice Hodson is due to take the case at 10.30 am. in the Divorce Division at the Law Courts. Recently Mrs. Eden has been living in a flat in New York. The Edens were married in 1923. She is the daughter of the late Sir Gervase Beckett, Yorkshire landowner, banker and newspaper director. June 08, 1950.
