This three-dimensional representation of brightness variations in a Magellan radar image of Golubkina crater enhances the structural features of the crater. Golubkina is 34 kimometers (20.4 mi.) in diameter, and is located at about 60.5 degrees north latitude, 287.2 degrees east longitude. Golubkina is characterized by terraced inner walls and a central peak, typical of large impact craters on the Earth, Moon and Mars. The terraced inner walls form at late stages in the formation of an impact crater, due to collapse of the initial cavity formed by the meterorite impact. The central peak forms due to rebound of the inner crater floor.

Shooting for the Beef George Caleb Bingham (American, 1811-1879). Shooting for the Beef, 1850. Oil on canvas, 33 3/8 x 49 in. (84.8 x 124.5 cm). The glum-looking steer at far left watches as men compete in a shooting contesta typical western pastimeto win him as a prize. The target is a nail on the board leaning against the dead tree. A sign above reads “To Boonsborough 14 miles.” This town, named for the renowned pioneer Daniel Boone, was in central Missouri’s Boone County. Viscera figure with human head (Imsety) ca. 1000-945 B.C. Third Intermediate Period Four wax and mud figures (25.3.156a-d) were found inside the mummy of Nesenaset, a woman who lived during the Third Intermediate Period. The figures represent the Four Sons of Horus, minor deities who protected the internal organs. During earlier periods, the organs were taken out of the body and mummified separately, then placed inside four "canopic" jars, each protected by one of these deities. During this era, the viscera were wrapped separately and put back into the body, along with these roughly-shaped figures. They are identified by their heads: the human-headed figure is Imsety, who protected the liver; the baboon is Hapy, guardian of the lungs; the jackal-headed Duamutef looked after the stomach, and the falcon-headed Quebesenuef guarded the intestines. This is one of two human-headed figures found in the abdominal cavity of Nesenaset. There was no falcon-headed figure.. Viscera figure with huma
