The State Railways, SJ SO3 3945. The conference room in the Director General. SJ Salongvagn was used as a representation trolley by SJ's Director -General and was subscribed by companies. Went for a while as a conference car with the text 'conference on train' on the page. Litered AO3 at delivery but Littera was changed to SO3 1956. The wagon was also used in the so -called dollar train. The wagon is preserved at the Swedish Railway Museum.

Boat Train For Paris- Transport in Wartime, 1945 Three American servicewomen read and chat on their bunks on board the ship, (docked at Newhaven for the night), bound for Paris. A fourth woman is already in bed. According to the original caption, the passengers arrived at Newhaven from London Victoria just after midnight and 'spend the night in their berths' as the 'ship will not leave till the morning tide'.

New Double Deck Train -- A full sixed modal of the new double-deck coach, with passengers occupying both decks. The upper deck floor is 4ft. higher than the normal floor. Top Windows do not open. The first British double-deck train - one answer to the problem of handling more passengers at "Peak" hours - will, it is hoped, be running between London and Dartford before the end of the year. No alterations will be needed to take the ew train for it is the same height above the rails as the present coaches. But one eight-coach train of the new type will seat 1,016 people, instead of the 772 of a normal eight coach electric train - an ino2ease of 31 per cent. February 28, 1949. (Photo by Daily Mirror).
