The State Railways, SJ F 602. Framework Lok with the ramps outside the wheels and three fronts. One of three tests ordered in 1939 from ASEA AB Svenska Railway workshops, ASJ, in Falun, Motala Workshop and Nydqvist & Holm AB, Nohab. The locomotive was delivered in 1942 and was numbered 601-603. The three test locomotives tested, among other things, different types of power transmission and running axle structures.

The State Railways, SJ YOA1 31 was an electric -powered test rail bus built by ASEA and ASJ in 1948. The rail bus was produced to test whether electric -powered rail buses could replace the diesel driven on the electrified stretches. The trial turned out well and SJ inserted the rail bus in regular traffic and decisions were made to convert 30 ordered diesel rail buses to electric rail buses.
