The CRVL was introduced on October 29, 1967 at the Sauwerd-Roodeschool track section. To this end, the train sets Nos. 94-106 were provided with a mobile phone installation. In September 1983, the CRVL was replaced by VCVL (simplified central traffic control) following the railway accident in Winsum on July 25, 1980 (see AtlantisNrs. 155782-155784).
