Britain Takes To The Surf - Holiday-makers near Newquay, Cornwall, are joining in a new, sport which is rapidly gaining adherents in Britain - surf-riding.Cornwall and on provide most of the fine broad beaches suitable for the sport but, after this year's holiday, many people intend to try it elsewhere. Meanwhile, in a typical British summer, the surf-riders are finding that a life on the ocean wave is no wetter than one on shore - and just as warm.One of the few fine beaches for surf-riding in Britain is at Newquay, North Cornwall.
