Everest is Conquered -- Mr. E.P. Hillary the member of the British Everest Expedition who is reported to have reached the summit. Reports coming into London say that the British Mount Everest expedition has been successful in conquering the world's ***** peak as a Coronation great to Queen Elizabeth. Messages say that on May 29th. Mr. E.P. Hillary a New Zealander ***** to the group, and Tensing Bhutia a ***** guide, were the first two men ever to reach the summit. It was the British expedition's third attempt this year. June 2, 1953.
