Bristol Garage ExplosionTwisted girders, splintered planks, bricks piled on the pavement. That was all that remained of Mr. Leonard master's garage in Ahsley Road. And five fireplaces on a wall were all that remained of flats wrecked when the garage blew up.Civil Defence teams today carried out first aid repaires to houses damaged by the explosion which wrecked a garage at Bristol on Saturday, killing 10 people and seriously injuring 9. More than 50 houses in the Ashley Road district lost windows and tiles. November 25, 1951.

Flying Bomb- V1 Bomb Damage in London, England, UK, 1944 Civil Defence workers help an elderly man collect together the few belongings he can salvage from the pile of rubble which was once his home, following a devastating V1 attack in the Highland Road and Lunham Road area of Upper Norwood. This man had been for a walk as his wife prepared the Sunday lunch, and returned to find that his house had been destroyed and his wife killed.

London, England. At about 9 p.m. on the evening of 30 May 1884, three explosions of dynamite cartridges took place at almost the same time. The first of these took place in Scotland Yard, in one of the police buildings, close to the headquarters and in front of a public establishment called "The Rising Sun", which suffered various material damages. The policeman on duty at the door of the police building was mutilated. The explosion at Scotland Yard: appearance of the police station and "The Rising Sun" after the attack.
