In the triangular field of service of the Korean War Veterans Memorial, located on the National Mall near the west end of the Reflecting Pool, 19 stainless steel statues depict a squad on patrol. The figures represent members of the Air Force, Army, Marines, and Navy from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. YOKOHAMA, Japan (Feb. 14, 2023) An entrance sign at the Yokohama Commonwealth War Cemetery during a war memorial ceremony for the Japanese/POW(s) Friendship Program, Feb. 14. The cemetery includes a large urn containing the ashes of 335 Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen from the United States, the British Commonwealth and the Kingdom of the Netherlands who died as POWs in Japan. The ceremony is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Commander, Navy Region Japan, bringing families of U.S. prisoners of war to Japan for a week-long reconciliation tour.

The Chindit Memorial is a war memorial in London, England, that commemorates the Chindit special forces, which served in Burma under Major General Orde Wingate in the Second World War. The memorial was erected in Victoria Embankment Gardens in 1990, near the Ministry of Defence headquarters, and also commemorates Wingate, who died on active service in Burma in 1944. It became a Grade II listed building in August 2020

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Sailors from Pre-Commissioning Unit Fort Lauderdale (LPD 28) polished and cleaned the surrounding areas of The Lone Sailor and Lt. Alexander Ramsey "Sandy" Nininger statues along the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The seven-foot Lone Sailor Statue serves as a tribute to the strong relationship between the city and people of Fort Lauderdale and the seas. The Lt. Ninnger Statue and Memorial commemorates the life and heroic military service of the first Medal of Honor recipient of World War II. Vo Nguyen Giap (Vietnamese: Võ Nguyên Giáp) born 25 August, 1911, died 4 October 2013, was a Vietnamese officer in the Vietnam People's Army and a politician. He was a principal commander in two wars: the First Indochina War (1946-1954) and the Second Indochina War (1960-1975). He participated in the following historically significant battles: Lạng Sơn (1950); Hòa Bình (1951-1952); Điện Biên Phủ (1954); the Tết Offensive (1968); the Nguyên Huế Offensive (known in the West as the Easter Offensive) (1972); and the final Hồ Chí Minh Campaign (1975). He was also a journalist, an interior minister in President Hồ Chí Minhs Việt Minh government, the military commander of the Việt Minh, the commander of the People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN), and defense minister. He also served as Politburo member of the Vietnamese Communist Party. He was the most prominent military commander together with Hồ Chí Minh during the war and was responsible for major operations and leadership until the war ended.
