British soldiers Pvt. Isaac White and Cpl. Mark Panock Purvis, who were captured by the Germans, escaped to the 28th Div. at Pismes. The photo shows them after their escape. They were captured on May 27 and escaped from the German prison camp on Aug. 7. Only these two out of seven British prisoners were successful in escaping. Location: South of Fismes, France.
