The style of the figures is based on the Persian book painting. The circumferential font ribbons on the edge refer to the wine drinking and the function of this shell. It is a beautiful example of ceramics with metallic glossy chaser glaze, which was developed in Iran to the championship and in the late 12th century experienced their heyday.
