The finely detailed depiction of the fairground buildings is presented in three vignettes; the attention to detail is made evident in the depiction of the costumes worn by the strolling figures. They are up to the minute bustle dresses, appropriately short-skirted dresses for young girls and hip-length jackets for the men.. This image was followed to one, in the Greek with 'Tryphon made this', signed Camee of Sardonyx that was in the rally of the Duke of Malborough in the 18th century. On the medallion you can see how the veiled couple is led to a knotted cord by a putto with torch on a knotted cord to the wedding bed that is opened by another putto. The embodiment of the hand part is formed by a rosette and leaf and floral motifs, both interspersed with napkin. On the outside legs, three scenes with figures are shown above each other, including palmets and rosettes. Unlike other examples from this period, this fan does not have a monogram in the central media, but a spell. It can be concluded from this (the language) that the fan was intended for the English market and was most likely shipped to Europe by the English trade company. A flower and leaf motif has been applied over the entire fan, which is only interspersed with servetwork in the edge along the openings in front of the ribbon. This decoration is enlivened by butterflies, small birds, peacocks and hummingbirds. Canton frame: Ivory. Lint: Cotton (textile).
