The production of extraordinarily refined Qing imperial wares such as these could have involved the transportation of undecorated, plain porcelains from the imperial kilns in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, to the palace workshops in Beijing, where court painters applied the polychrome enamel decoration. The Qianlong reign mark on the base of the bowl is written with blue enamel over the transparent glaze.. This is a scene from the Odyssey, the epic tale of the perilous journey home made by Odysseus and his companions after the fall of Troy. The men came to the island where the sorceress Circe lived. She gave them a magic potion that transformed them into pigs (a pig walks out at the left). Warned in the nick of time, Odysseus was able to break the spell.Spectacles.  Maker: J. Model of an iron driving beacon in the form of a small boat with a mast with a screen and a wind cane. The hull is round, equipped with a keel and with a clear distinction between front and stern; The top is closed and equipped with a manhole and a pump that is closed with a hexagonal screw cap. A harp closure for the anchor chain hangs on the keel, which can be placed in three different places. The mast stamped with a front and two baking stages, which are performed in strand of staff. The screen consists of three half circles, which are placed in the plane of the mast and the layers.
