Fragments of elaborate floral brocade and silk textiles from the 18th century featuring detailed floral motifs on rich backgrounds.

Textile, Medium: cotton Technique: block printed on plain weave printed by engraved roller on plain weave, Panel of cream white cotton, with block-printed design in perpendicular arrangement. Delicate ascending vine with clusters of small flowers, naturalistically drawn in shades of red, violet, blue and yellow drab; small flowers in pure white probably by discharge.
