13-year-old Calvin Richmond is well on the way to recovery after undergoing surgery in which doctors kept his blood purified through use of a dogs lung. During the operation University of Minnesota surgeons sealed apertures in the boy's heart. The dogs lung, removed from the animal, was used to purify Calvins blood while his bloodstream was diverted away from the heart.***** Mr Saunders said.The Health Department has set up a hotline for people concerned about hepatitis C on 018 418119.
