The event was chaired by the ambassador of Spain, who was accompanied by the General Director of Information and Tourism, Mr. Carlos Robles Piquer, the Undersecretary of the Presidency, Mr. Paulo Rodrígues, the National Secretary of Information, Mr. César Moreira Baptista and the cultural attaché of the embassy, Don Pedro Rocamora.

Expelled Communist Addresses German Culture Union. Hans Eisler, the composer, recently expelled from the United States because of his membership of the Communist Party, and now living in Parague, is applauded by delegates to the German Culture Union week at the State Opera House in the Soviet sector here. The 'week' is organised in connection with the German People's Council now in session in the Soviet sector. Eisler told delegates, 'The American people, especially, should hear your voice, and not the voice of the warmongers'. October 27, 1948.
