Three KC-46A Pegasuses conducts Minimum Interval Takeoff (MITO) exercises Dec. 13, 2022, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. The MITO serves as a training tool to prepare aircrews for various missions at home or during contingency operations.

Hundreds of children dressed as ghosts, ghouls and goblins visit residences near RAF Croughton to celebrate Halloween with American personnel Oct. 31, 2022. Pumpkin patrol volunteers from Croughton worked together with the Ministry of Defence Police, Cherwell District Council and Thames Valley Police to help promote a safe and good time. Local American and multinational military and civilians participated in creating a special night for the local community near Croughton.

221011-N-DU622-1043 PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 11, 2022) An F/A-18E Super Hornet makes an arrested gear landing on flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz Carrier Strike Group is underway preparing for an upcoming deployment.

U.S. Air Force Airmen, assigned to the Ohio National Guards 180th Fighter Wing, transports a pallet of cargo during a large-scale readiness inspection, Aug. 8, 2022, at the base in Swanton, Ohio. The Airmen are part of the Arrival and Departure Airfield Control Group, whose primary function is to properly weigh, preform center of balance calculations, and ensure hazardous cargo is safe for flight. The exercise was a full-scale assessment of the rapid generation and movement of personnel and equipment, utilizing a 24-hour operation concept. The wing was evaluated on its ability to pack, prepare and deploy mission-ready personnel, aircraft and support equipment, while operating in a contested and degraded environment.
