Ltd. are managing agents for the pad line which trades between Australian and North American West coast ports.Dilkara, third ship in the Pacific Australia Direct Line roll-on roll-off service, is due in Australia for the first time today, December 29, carrying a record south bound cargo. An early State marine branch inquiry will be held into the grounding at the edge of the Brisbane River bar cutting yesterday at the £1 million Brisbane-built Binburra. Above her in a Lancaster Aircraft.Captain Kurt Carlsen, the 36-year-old Danish Skipper of the United States freighter "Flying Enterprise", spent a fifth night alone on board his ship last night.Lightning had silenced her radio and she drifted helpless in heavy seas 240 miles South West of Fastnet rock, Ireland. She had a 60 degree list so that her port rails and deck were awash. The 1,136 tug "Turmoil", one of the largest in the world, expects to make contact with the "Flying Enterprise" to-night.
