"Repulse" Ships Huge Seas In Atlantic As She Escorts Royal Liner - Six Men Injured: The "Repulse" plunges her bows into heavy seas - picture made from "Empress of Australia", thrown overboard in a barrel and brought to England by the "Repulse".Six men were injured on board the "Repulse" when the battle-cruiser shipped heavy seas in mid-Atlantic as she turned about to start her homeward journey to England after escorting the liner "Empress of Australia", with the King and Queen on board, halfway to Canada.The men were thrown to the deck or against stanchions. One man had his leg broken. May 14, 1939.
