Date: ca. 1840.This coverlet is woven in two panels and seamed at the center. It has a warp of undyed and light blue cotton and a weft of dark blue, green, and red wool and undyed cotton. The central field shows feather medallions alternating with foliate medallions. The bottom border has a stylized vine motif, and the right and left borders have roses and tulips. Peacocks adorn each of the two corner blocks. Both sides of the coverlet have natural fringe, and there is attached fringe along the bottom edge. Symmetrical pattern with a flower branch in the middle with a large rosette flower with four smaller rosette flowers around it. On the left and right of this two oval medallions between which a flower branch with two excellent rosette flowers. Along the edges two symmetrical dependent acanthus leaves between which half a rosette flower and a decorative tire. The pattern at the ends of the tie consists of a palmet formed by elongated leaves with a console with tulip bouquet above. The motifs are connected by a Maas soil. The motifs are made in the battery and one type of ornamental ground has been used, to run the motifs thicker contour wires.Textile Fragment 19th century. Three symmetrical turmbled medallions rise on the nodes of the slippers, which are caught in two pairs of C volutes. Above the slot a large, above the medallions, a small flower tough occurs, with tagged flower leaves as a crowning. Though it is a small fragment, this piece of lace is simple and honest in its decorative quality.
