The description notes that it was issued for Surgical Ward No. 2, with the additional C notes mentioned as 52169.

Aikichi Kuboyama, one of the 23 Japanese fishermen who were showered with radioactive ashes near Bikini waters last March when the U.S. made an H-Bomb tests has just died as the result of this test, and now the Japanese Government are asking for compensation from the U.S. for the family of Kuboyama. The hospital for wounded British and Allied soldiers in the converted casino at Le Touquet, France, established by the Duchess of Westminster. The hospital could care for up to 350 men at any one time and according to the Illustrated War News was, 'officially recognised as one of the best in France.' The ward pictured had 56 beds and was under the charge of Major Gordon Watson, senior surgeon and Commandant of the Hospital. Date: 1914

The Reconstruction of 'an Incident'- Civil Defence Training in Fulham, London, 1942 A busy scene in the Treatment Room of the First Aid Post, set up in a room in a school, probably Mary Boon School, on the corner of Earsby Street and Bishop King's Road, near Avonmore Road. Nurses treat various injuries, including the wounded leg of a young boy. In the background, the doctor and superintendent nurse attend to a man with a back injury.
