Medical instrument - Surgeon's Instrument Case, c1798. This surgeon's mahogany instrument case was used by William Aston, a surgeon, about 1798. It contains five scalpels with ebony handles, made by Laundy. The silver blow pipe was used for inflating blood vessels in dissection... Purchased from Edward H Pinto, 1965... .
