The motifs were frequently drawn from Gothic architecture, reproducing on a miniature scale complicated tracery patterns and even tiny statuettes. A number of these tiny locks were compound, with some of the mechanisms concealed from view, and required two or even three keys used in sequence to open them. It has been suggested that the greatly expanded use of locks on doors, or coffrets and other types of storage chests was a result of the increasing urbanization of life and the new emphasis on material wealth and private ownership which developed in the late Middle Ages.. Leonardo applied a cam to this simple mechanical device for transforming rotary motion into intermittent motion. The energy that moves this device so that the hammer continuously strikes the anvil is derived directly from the hand crank, its rotary motion directly activating the cam: the hand crank is inserted into the side of the axis of the same and has a circular profile with a sudden break in it. By turning this, the lever to which the hammer is attached tilts forward, returning to its initial position when the hand crank has done a complete turn. Using the law of gravity, the hammer continues to fall heavily on the anvil; an automation process that relieves human fatigue. After having been long used in automatic meshes, the cam is now widely used in car engines, which deliver power by activating a camshaft.. The Stelwig is missing. The wheels are made of wood and the front wheels are larger than the rear wheels. In the deck is applied above a mechanism that covers under the rear asx of the rolling horse and hold it upstairs; This mechanism can move back and forth in a cut-out circle segment, thus changing the corner, once loosened the rolling horse, to roll down. Where the rolling horse ends up against the board, the edge is reinforced with a cushion block on the inside.Model of a tripod buck, Jan Marten Kleman, 1793 - 1807Cog Rattle 15th or 16th century French It was formerly the custom for the bells of Catholic churches to be silent during Holy Week, having (according to an old legend) "flown to Rome" for that period. The floor around the foot of the lower drum is equipped with a sloping surface; Around the foot of the drum is a ring on wheels to reduce friction. This device ensures that the line on the drum shifts; To be able to demonstrate its operation, a guide is applied to a rope on one side of the middle deck. The wooden king is running with a point on a track at the lowest level and is equipped with a ring with wheels that runs against the solidation of the lower level, to prevent the up of the king.
