Handkerchief with a border needle side with rose bouquets in medallions on the corners and violets along the edges, anonymous, c. 1850 - c. 1874 Batist handkerchief with a rim of natural -colored needle side: Brussels mesh side. Square model with an octagonal center of batist and a wide edge side. In every corner there is an oval medallion with a rose booklet in it and radiating feathered leaves all around. Between the medallions runs over each side a straight decorative band with a diamond -shaped grid with underneath, along the outer edge of the handkerchief, a flower row of five violets. The feathered leaves around the medallions and the violins form the scrap edge. Around the Batisten Central part volutes with acanthus leaves. The motifs are made up of feston stitches and equipped with relief contours. The motifs are connected to each other by a mesh cincloth, with here and there mosques.
