The three-day event allows CPO selectees to receive history and heritage training at the museum and aboard the Battleship Wisconsin, and is hosted by the museum and area commands. Dewitt and Cancel sang the national anthem of Japan and the national anthem of the United States, Star Spangled Banner, to kick off a fireworks display to end the festivals first of two days. The two-day festival was an opportunity for visitors to learn more about theU.S. and Japan bilateral partnership, while strengthening the bonds between Yokota and the local communities. Yokota was able to host the event with the support of Japan Self-Defense Force, sister services and the local community.
