Soldiers with the 1st Battalion, 147th Aviation Regiment of the Wisconsin National Guard participate in UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter live-hoist training at Big Sandy Lake on June 7, 2022, at Fort McCoy, Wis. Members of the unit regularly complete training operations at Fort McCoy, and the unit also supports numerous training events at the installation each year. This training included hoisting up simulated victims treading water with a basket into the helicopter. The unit completed the training for three hours at the lake on June 7 and Wisconsin National Guard troops complete their annual training at Fort McCoy for 2022.

The project enhances the installations energy resilience by providing power for critical missions for a minimum of two weeks during electrical grid outages. The project supports the Army Climate Strategy goal to build a microgrid on every installation by 2035.

Members of U.S. Army Garrison Beneluxs emergency response team gathered with Belgian emergency responders to conduct an installation protection exercise at Zutendaal Army Depot, Belgium March 30. The partnership aimed to gauge response time and coordination efforts between the emergency departments while the groups role-played the discovery of a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) at the depot, parked near a 100,000-liter tank of heating oil.
