Seamen Rescued From The "Altmark" Have A "Befit" In London -- Some of the seamen buying new caps in London. In the group are Will Wheeler ("Doric Star") of Dunedin, New Zealand; Ray Craig ("Doric Star") of Auckland, New Zealand; Roy Baker of Sydney, Australia; and Buley Hoban of Brisbane, Australia.A number of the British seamen rescued by the British destroyer H.M.S. "Cossack" from the German, hell ship "Altmark" are now recovering from their long ordeal at a seamen's hostel in the East End of London.The men, from ships sunk by the late Nazi battleship "Admiral Graf Spee", rare subjected to inhuman treatment before they were freed by the Navy after a hand to hand fight in a Norwegian fjord. Buses bring the children to Gatow Airport from the centre of the city. A programme to spare children the Bitter cold of winter, when fuel will be at a premium in the western sectors of Berlin, has been set up by German, American and British Welafe officials.
