In early April, cadets from the Bronco Battalion of Boise State University gathered on Gowen Field to complete the Army Combat Fitness Test.The Spring Semester of 2022 is nearing completion and the cadets of the Boise State University Army ROTC Bronco Battalion remained active through April as they marched toward the finish line. Cadets completed the Army Combat Fitness Test, a 12 and 8 mile Ruck March along the City of Boise Green Belt Trail, and a personal development workshop on establishing financial stability. Several cadets will receive their commission as 2Lt.s In the Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard on May 6, 2022, and graduate the following day, May 7, 2022.

(Oct. 3, 2022) - Chief Petty Officers assigned to Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) and tenant commands conduct an early morning CPO Pride Run with the 129th class of Chief selectees onboard Point Mugu. NBVC is a strategically located Naval installation composed of three operating facilities: Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island. NBVC is the home of the Pacific Seabees, West Coast E-2D Hawkeyes, 3 warfare centers and 80 tenants.

Recruiting Station (RS) Albuquerque recently held their Annual Pool Function from March 31, 2023 to April 1, 2023 at the New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, Nm. The purpose of the Annual Pool Function is to bring the Recruiting Sub-Stations together and allow their Poolees to experience first-hand some of the challenges that they will be facing during their upcoming Recruit Training. The RS also had Drill Instructors visiting from Marine Corps Recruiter Depot San Diego to assist in the daily events.

Today the 10th Mountain Division honored the Soldiers from Task Force 2-14 by participating in the Mogadishu Mile. The original mile was a route taken by Soldiers from a Blackhawk helicopter crash site to a rally point held by the 10th MTN DIV on National Street during the Battle of Mogadishu on October 4, 1993.

(June 14, 2022) - A Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) New Student Indoctrination (NSI) Recruit Division Commander motivates a midshipman candidate during a physical training session at RTC, June 14. NSI is an indoctrination program hosted at RTC, and provides midshipmen with a common military training orientation. Norfolk (September 19, 2022) Chief Petty Officer selectees from various commands in the Hampton Roads, Virginia region participate in history and heritage training facilitated by BTCS(SW) Tom Dandes, USN (Ret.) of the Hampton Roads Naval Museum. The presentation was part of the museums 21st Annual Chief Petty Officer Heritage Days event. The three-day event allows CPO selectees to receive history and heritage training at the museum and aboard the Battleship Wisconsin, and is hosted by the museum and area commands. The event is the largest and longest running of its kind in Virginia.

SEATTLE (April 9, 2022) - University of Utah and University of Washington Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) midshipmen participate in a Tug-of-War on the University of Washington campus during the 2022 Northwest Navy competition, April 9. More than 250 NROTC students and staff members from the Universities of Idaho/Washington State, Oregon State, Utah and Washington competed in military drill, academic and athletic events at the one-day contest. Northwest Navy has been held on a rotating basis between the schools since 1957. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, this was the first time all units were able to compete in person since 2019.

Twenty-two nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in the biennial Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise from June 29 to Aug. 3, in and around the Hawaiian Islands. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans. In early April, cadets from the Bronco Battalion of Boise State University gathered on Gowen Field to complete the Army Combat Fitness Test.The Spring Semester of 2022 is nearing completion and the cadets of the Boise State University Army ROTC Bronco Battalion remained active through April as they marched toward the finish line. Cadets completed the Army Combat Fitness Test, a 12 and 8 mile Ruck March along the City of Boise Green Belt Trail, and a personal development workshop on establishing financial stability. Several cadets will receive their commission as 2Lt.s In the Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard on May 6, 2022, and graduate the following day, May 7, 2022.
