In early April, cadets from the Bronco Battalion of Boise State University gathered on Gowen Field to complete the Army Combat Fitness Test.The Spring Semester of 2022 is nearing completion and the cadets of the Boise State University Army ROTC Bronco Battalion remained active through April as they marched toward the finish line. Cadets completed the Army Combat Fitness Test, a 12 and 8 mile Ruck March along the City of Boise Green Belt Trail, and a personal development workshop on establishing financial stability. Several cadets will receive their commission as 2Lt.s In the Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard on May 6, 2022, and graduate the following day, May 7, 2022.

Norfolk (September 19, 2022) Chief Petty Officer selectees from various commands in the Hampton Roads, Virginia region participate in history and heritage training facilitated by BTCS(SW) Tom Dandes, USN (Ret.) of the Hampton Roads Naval Museum. The presentation was part of the museums 21st Annual Chief Petty Officer Heritage Days event. The three-day event allows CPO selectees to receive history and heritage training at the museum and aboard the Battleship Wisconsin, and is hosted by the museum and area commands. James Kotwicki, 38, of the 29th Infantry Division was the top U.S. finisher with a time of 1:07:02 and a 10th place finish overall. Approximately 40 Soldiers from across the nation traveled to Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, to compete in the 2022 U.S. Best Squad Competition from May 14-21, 2022 BWBSC is an annual competition that brings together the best Soldiers and squads from across the U.S. Army Reserve to earn the title of Best Warrior and Best Squad among their peers. Competitors are evaluated on their individual and collective ability to adapt to and overcome challenging scenarios and battle-focus events that test their technical and tactical abilities under stress and extreme fatigue.

While in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII the Joint Armed Forces Color Guard and drummers from The U.S. Navy Band visited with over 200 JROTC students from Sierra Vista High School and Bonanza High School. The color guard shared their experiences in the military and why they continue to choose to serve. Students also had the chance to ask the Service Members questions and get some tips and tricks about presenting the colors.
