As a part of Fleet Week New York 22, the Marines of Special Purpose Marine-Air Ground Task Force New York engage in special events throughout New York City and the tristate area showcasing sea service technologies, future innovation, and connecting with citizens. GUANABARA BAY, Brazil (Sept. 7, 2022) Sailors aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Lassen (DDG 82) man the rails during the Parade of Ships marking Brazils bicentennial during UNITAS LXIII, Sept. 7, 2022. On August 15, 2013, at the Naval Station Norfolk near NASAs Langley Research Center in Virginia, NASA and the U.S. Navy conducted a stationary recovery test on the Orion boilerplate test article in the water near a U.S. Navy ship. NASA and the U.S. Navy are conducting tests to prepare for recovery of the Orion crew module and forward bay cover on its return from a deep space mission. The stationary recovery tests allow the teams to demonstrate and evaluate the recovery processes, the hardware and the test personnel in a controlled environment.During the test, the U.S Navy Dive Team checked the capsule for hazards while sailors from the USS Arlington approached the capsule in inflatable boats, and towed it back to the ships flooded well deck. A second test will be conducted next year in the open waters of the Pacific Ocean.

BOSTON (Aug. 26, 2022) USS Constitution is moored to Pier One in Charlestown Navy Yard during a thunderstorm. USS Constitution, is the worlds oldest commissioned warship afloat, and played a crucial role in the Barbary Wars and the War of 1812, actively defending sea lanes from 1797 to 1855. During normal operations, the active-duty Sailors stationed aboard USS Constitution provide free tours and offer public visitation to more than 600,000 people a year as they support the ships mission of promoting the Navys history and maritime heritage and raising awareness of the importance of a sustained naval presence. USS Constitution was undefeated in battle and destroyed or captured 33 opponents. The ship earned the nickname of Old Ironsides during the war of 1812 when British cannonballs were seen bouncing off the ships wooden hull. Approximately 200 healthcare workers and first responders from the Boston area joined USS Constitution for a three-hour cruise in the Boston Harbor.

Chief Petty Officer Heritage Week is a week dedicated to mentoring the Navys newest chiefs through naval history and heritage training aboard Americas Ship of State, USS Constitution.

The Multi-Purposefregat Hr.Ms. Tjerk Hiddes leaves the port of Den Helder to the region around the Arab Peninsula. The ship provides a contribution to the international fight against terrorism in the context of operation Enduring Freedom. The commitment of Hr.Ms. Tjerk Hiddes concerns performing observations and intelligence collection. The ship can also be used for escort and security tasks and can carry out boards in the context of 'Maritime Interdiction Operations'. For this, the ship's crew has been supplemented by a 'Guard team' from the Marines Corps. Hr.ms. Tjerk Hiddes will stay a total of three months, from October 2004 to the start of January 2005, in the operating area around the Arabic peninsula.
