Below the main zone is a row of heart-shaped hanging blades, again filled with commas. These basic design units were created with carved ceramic stamps that impressed the clay mold while still pliable. This technique greatly accelerated the process of mold production.BARREÑON DE MATANZA CON DOS ASA Y VIDRIADO INTERIOR. Location: ALFARERIA. SPAIN.Dish (usual name). Here, the fish are repeated at the bottom of the bowl, while lotus blossoms, Buddhist symbols of purity, decorate the exterior. The prevalence of imagery associated with Buddhism and other religious practices in the decoration of cloisonné reflects the use of such goods in temples and palaces.
